This week is the last call for Splash 2012 tickets.

The event is from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Roseville Aquatics Complex. Don’t miss out on enjoying an array of food and beverages from nearly 30 restaurants and 29 wineries, beer, spirit and beverage companies. Residents sample the refreshments and groove to music of the 80z All-Stars. A host of displays from local artists will also be in full view. It should be a great evening at what has come to be known as Roseville’s biggest party of the year. It’s not too late to get your tickets for $60. Tickets cost $70 at the door.

Are you interested in meeting Placer County’s new CEO? David Boesch will be the featured speaker at the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon Friday, Sept. 21 at the Maidu Community Center. Catering will be provided by Carmelita’s. Reservations are required. Reserve your seat at www.rosevillechamber.com.

The chamber is currently in the process of recruiting volunteers for the 4th Annual Business Walk, slated for Thursday, Oct. 11. The focus of the walk is discussing the city’s recently updated economic development strategy, as well as venturing out to visit office complexes in Roseville and Granite Bay. Volunteers are asked to set aside three hours that morning for talking with local businesspeople. We want feedback on why businesses have located in Roseville or Granite Bay, what new businesses or industries would align well with the area and what can the city and county do to recruit new businesses. Anyone interested in volunteering should email JSnider@rosevillechamber.com, or call (916) 783-8136.

Imagine getting new customers by showcasing your business in what many feel is Roseville’s premiere family lifestyle center, The Fountains. Business owners can get that exposure by participating in the chamber’s upcoming Harvest Festival & Business Fair. The free event takes place noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. Nonprofit organizations, health and fitness groups and businesses will all be there showcasing their services. There will also be plenty of activities for children. We’re expecting delightful weather, so pack up the family and spend the day at The Fountains supporting our local businesses.
