First I want to congratulate Carol Garcia, Pauline Roccucci, and Bonnie Gore on their election to the City Council. They ran a great race. I also want to thank and congratulate all my fellow candidates, Phil Ozenick, Tracy Mendonsa, and John Schwartz. It is no small undertaking to run for City Council and I know just how hard all of us worked.
While we didn’t get the result we had hoped for, I am very proud of the race we ran. We focused our campaign on issues like job creation, public safety, and addressing the quality of life challenges in our neighborhoods. Moving forward, I am looking forward to working with our new council as president of the Downtown Roseville Merchants and as a businessman to grow our economy and finish the important work of downtown revitalization. Karen and I are also going to be starting a new RCONA neighborhood association in our area.
I am deeply grateful to my family, all of the friends who stood beside me, the volunteers who gave so much of themselves, and the community of supporters who joined our campaign to get Roseville back to work. And we will.
This campaign has been an incredible experience for our entire family, and a reminder that the strength of Roseville — the intangible that makes our community such a special place to live, work and raise a family — is its people.
Thank you again for your encouragement and tireless support.
