Bill Poindexter

Bill Poindexter has 33 years of experience in sports journalism. Before arriving at the Press Tribune in August 2010, Poindexter’s positions included sports editor at The Manteca News, assistant sports editor at The Record in Stockton, sports editor at The Modesto Bee and editor at the Lathrop Manteca Sun Post. Poindexter helped introduce an annual training camp guide when the San Francisco 49ers trained at University of the Pacific in Stockton and supervised production of a Super Bowl special section when the Oakland Raiders played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With The Modesto Bee, Poindexter supervised projects on Stockton 99 Speedway and summer youth sports training, each of which won Associated Press Sports Editors awards.
