The Placer SPCA in Roseville is out of storage space, and has to stack animal carrying cases outside behind the building. While the cages are cleaned, all the dogs have to be removed and put in temporary holding pens outside, which CEO Leilani Fratis says is unusual. Dog cages line the canine area at the Placer SPCA in Roseville, but the facility does not have enough space to care for the quantity of dogs that need to be placed in the shelter. Not all of the cats at the Placer SPCA in Roseville have luxury of living in the cat condos, as many are still housed in traditional cages. Dogs have to be taken outside and placed in temporary pens daily while their cages are cleaned in the mornings.
