Granite Bay tennis earns sixth title

Identical twins Chloe and Lily Forlini set the tone for yet another Sac-Joaquin Section championship for Granite Bay High School’s girls tennis team.
The Grizzlies secured their sixth consecutive banner — and first in Division I — with a 7-2 victory over Davis on Wednesday at Feist Park.
“For many, many years, we’ve had a solid three or four girls that are tournament and year-round players,” Granite Bay coach Rory Wood said. “Those girls have been the backbone and foundation of the team. That automatically gives us the depth. That’s the key in high school tennis.”
