Over a thousand supporters of the Placer Fair came decked out in white (and a little green) to run in the Gnarly Neon 5K race on St. Patrick's Day.  Race proceeds went to fundraise for the Placer County Fair Association, which lost a large portion of its funding due to budget cuts.

"We're doing a series of fundraisers," said John Javidan, CEO and Fair Manager.  "FUN-draisers is what we should call them because we're having a lot of fun."

"Like all other fairs, we've lost state funding so we're trying to make it up," added Javidan.  "We've already had to make lots of cuts and we don't want to make more.  We want to try to keep good service and good facilities."
