Lines starting to form at 9:30 p.m.

Eager shoppers started to line up outside each of the entrances to the Roseville Galleria at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Doors opened at 11 p.m. so customers could wait inside until their favorite stores opened at midnight. Many clutched coffee or energy drinks in their hands, including Stephanie Rutherford, who bribed her three friends Shayna Mumby, Sarah Ott and Matt Mayel with free Red Bull and a fun time of hanging out and catching up while roaming the mall.

Others like Chace Owen, Max Jensen, Chace Able and Hunter Shearer had a plan that only included hitting Vertigo.

“We are basically only here to get a free gift card, all of us anywhere form $10-300,” Owen said. “We want to be the first ones at the door.”

They did indeed get to the door and each received a $10 gift card and a free goodie bag.

Happy Disney store shopper Heather Nall waited in line since 11 p.m. and walked away with two huge bags, more than 15 items totaling less than $200.

“I have to say that the stores are well organized this year not as crazy, there are more cashiers,” she said.

Sears shopper Karen Stanis shopped all the ads for exactly what she needed at the best price — and she found it at Sears.
