The Placer County Fair hosted a Barnyard Hoedown benefit to help save Roseville's annual summertime festival Saturday night at the fairgrounds.  Patrons enjoyed BBQ dinners, live music, raffles, a live auction, and a rousing game of Cow Chip Bingo.

"Like all other fairs, we've lost state funding and so we're trying to make it up," said CEO and Fair Manager John Javidan.  "We've already had to make lots of cuts and we don't want to make any more.  We want to try to keep good service and good facilities."

Javidan said that they were hoping to recoup $12,000, around 5% of the funding lost.  The Placer County Fair will also be hosting a 5K Gnarly Neon Color Run on St. Patrick's day, Sunday March 17th.  For more information, visit www.PlacerCountyFair.org.
