Helicopter Easter egg drop in RosevilleBy: Anne Stokes / Press Tribune Correspondent
The weather forecast for this Easter weekend was cloudy with a chance of showers, although not the kind of showers you might expect. 50,000 Easter Eggs fell from the sky, via helicopter, at Kaseberg Park in Roseville to nearly 7,000 eager egg hunters, courtesy of several Roseville churches. Bayside West Community Church, Impact Church, Restoration Church, and Westside Christian Church came together to sponsor the event, which included games, inflatables, face-painting, and pictures with the Easter Bunny, in addition to the egg drop.
"We believe every person matters to God, our kids matter to us, and our community matters to us, and so we wanted to have a fun family-friendly community event before Easter and that's why we're doing this," said Chuck Wysong, pastor at Bayside West Community Church.
