The UC Davis Cal Aggie Alumni Association has elected Charles “Chuck” Nichols as president and Ramak Siadatan as vice president of its board of directors for 2012-14.
Nichols assumed the office effective July 1 and has served UC Davis in many ways, from his participation in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Dean’s Circle to his active participation in CAAA since 1984. He earned two bachelor’s degrees from UC Davis: electrical and computer engineering in 1983, and agricultural science and management in 1984.
Siadatan, executive vice president and president-elect, has been an active supporter of CAAA. A Life Member since 2005, he has served on several committees, including chairing the Chapters Committee, and as vice president of programs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and managerial economics in 1999, and an MBA in 2006. Siadatan is a learning and development professional, and works for Guidewire Software Inc. as its sales enablement training manager. He lives in Roseville with his wife, Allison, a UC Davis alumna, and their son.
The CAAA board of directors meets four times a year to establish policy, develop goals and objectives, assist with long-range planning, and monitor alumni association finances. The board consists of a president, vice president, and up to 23 directors-at-large. Board members are elected for two-year terms with a three term limit, and participation is open to all CAAA members.
The association is always looking for candidates for its board of directors. For a nomination form, visit the CAAA website, below. Questions may be directed to Rita Lundin at (530) 752-9960 or email@example.com.
