Local seats up for grabs in November election
Candidate filing for the Nov. 6 general election opens Monday, July 16, and closes Friday, Aug. 10.
If the incumbent fails to file by Aug. 10, the filing period for that office will be extended to Aug. 15, for individuals other than the incumbent.
The Roseville City Council has three seats up for election. Mayor Pauline Roccucci's term ends this year, along with Councilwoman Carol Garcia. Councilman John Allard will be termed out of office.
The four local school districts have seats up for grabs on their board of trustees. The Roseville Joint Union High School District has three seats available. Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District, Eureka Union School District and Roseville City School District each have two seats open.
The special district offices up for election include two seats with the board of the San Juan Water District, serving Granite Bay and parts of Roseville, and three seats with the South Placer Fire Protection District, which serves Granite Bay.
