As most of you have probably read, the Press Tribune is changing from a Wednesday and Saturday publication to Friday only. This change will go into effect starting July 13.

Some of you may think that the elimination of an issue means less news. That is not the case. We will continue to produce the same amount of stories and if they don’t all get into the paper, we will be posting them directly to our website. Our job is to inform you on what is happening in the community, and altering frequency will not change that.

With the move to a Friday paper, we are looking to add more regular features such as healthy living and finance. What do you want to see? More business news? More education news? A new regular feature? This is your community paper — so let your voice be heard. Email me at

The Press Tribune has some exciting news to share. We have a new addition to the newsroom.

Editor Michelle Carl welcomed Wesley Felix Carl into the world at 2:13 p.m. June 16. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 21 inches long.
We hope to get him into the newsroom as soon as possible to help cover Little League games.

Congratulations, Michelle!

Mayra Rabé is the interim editor of the Roseville Press Tribune.
