Chew on This: The best sandwiches in Roseville and Granite Bay

Any way you slice it, these sandwiches are tops
-A +A

Is there anything more perfect than a well-made sandwich? With unlimited combinations of meat, cheese and fixings between two slices of bread, this lunchtime staple still manages to amaze. Better Foods Deli on Douglas got the most mentions with four, but here's a sampling of the other sandwiches you like to wolf down in Roseville and Granite Bay.

Beach Hut Deli

Granite Bay: 6823 Douglas Blvd. Roseville: 7456 Foothills Blvd. Ste. 1, 1490 Eureka Road #160

"The Beach Bikini is the first sandwich I ever had there ... it's so good that it's the only sandwich I've ever had there! I go at least once a month. It's on a sunflower seed bread, has cream cheese, sprouts, turkey, and cranberry, an absolutely perfect combination of flavors."

~ Tonya Ramos, Roseville

"I love the Surfing Cow. Lots of roast beef and all the trimmings. My wife and I have been going to this original store (in Granite Bay) for 20 years. Great service and Troy and his staff are very nice.

~ Mike O'Connell, Granite Bay

Boudin SF

1017 Galleria Blvd., Ste. 100 (Fountains), Roseville

"Boudin's has the freshest and most delicious bread. It does not matter what is in the sandwich as long as the bread is the best."

~ Patricia Anderson, Roseville

Better Foods Deli

900 Douglas Blvd., Roseville

"I have lived in Roseville since 1991, when I was only 13 years old. There weren't many sandwich places at that time to choose from. I will never forget the first time I went to Better Foods Deli with a friend, and had the best turkey sandwich I have ever had. We were able to walk there from his home on King Road. I don't know what they do to make them so good, because they are made with simple and fresh ingredients. But, I surely can't make a sandwich as good as them and they are the best sandwich shop around, not to mention the friendliest."

~ Melissa Gould, Roseville

"Better Foods Deli on Douglas has the very best sandwiches in Roseville. They have been there for years and have won awards. They are the only place I have found that has liverwurst sandwiches."

~ Clare Handcock, Roseville

A Dash of Panache

217 Vernon St., Roseville

"The Tuscan Grilled Chicken sandwich at A Dash of Panache is the best."

~ Scott Alvord, Roseville

Dominick's Italian Market & Deli

8621 Auburn-Folsom Road, Granite Bay

"I would say Dominick's with the Philly cheesesteak (is the best sandwich). There is nothing better than having a sandwich locally. Dominick's is amazing by being an authentic Italian deli ran by their family... shows the love the family puts into the restaurant and shows by having amazing food."
