VW Beetles to cruise through Roseville

Annual Ranch Run raises money for Ride to Walk
-A +A

Bugs are invading Roseville!

But don't run and hide - instead, consider joining in on the fun. The seventh-annual Neillo Volkswagen Ranch Run takes place Friday, April 13, through Sunday, April 15, with several events in Roseville that feature the VW Beetle. The family friendly event benefits Ride to Walk, Inc.

This Lincoln-based nonprofit organization provides therapeutic horseback riding programs to enhance the lives of children and young adults with neurological disabilities. Niello's Ranch Run has donated more than $87,000 so far to Ride to Walk, including $26,000 from last year's event.

"This fundraiser helps to keep our program running for the 55 children that we serve," said Executive Director Kristine Corn. "These children all have some sort of neurological disability and not only is this therapy for them, it's also their recreation."

The Ranch Run kicks off with a cruise that starts in Sacramento and ends at Sonic Burger in Roseville, and finishes Sunday with a caravan of hundreds of Volkswagens.
