Celebrity Chili Cook-off winners named

About 350 people turned out on Friday for a Roseville Celebrity Chili Cook-off benefiting two organizations, CampusLife and the Coalition for Placer Youth, that work with teens in the community. Roseville City School District Trustee Hallie Romero and Susan Duane of Duane Benefit Solutions and co-president of the Roseville City School District Foundation won first place from the judges for their chili. Finishing second was Dr. John Jackson, president of William Jessup University in Rocklin, and finishing third was Ray Diamondstone of Our Growing Concern. Paul Robins of Fox 40 won the People’s Choice Award for his chili. The event received widespread community support, with lead sponsors being Westpark Associates as Red Hot Chili Sponsor and Alpine Mortgage Planning, Capitol Cellars, Coldwell Banker/Sun Ridge Real Estate, Hillenbrand Insurance Solutions, Spectrum Wealth Management/Doug Boring as Habanero Pepper Sponsors. ~ Staff report
