Roseville kids have a chance to spend some quality time with Santa Claus when he comes to town for two days in December.

Santa will roll into Roseville on a fire truck at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, and Sunday, Dec. 11, spending the first afternoon at Martha Riley Library in Mahany Park and the following afternoon at the Maidu Community Center in Maidu Park.

Children can tell Santa what gifts they want for Christmas and take photos with the jolly fellow. There will also be snacks, crafts and music. The Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations is sponsoring this inaugural and free “Santa in the Park” event.

“We are excited about this new community event,” said RCONA President Werner Kuehn. “It gives Roseville kids a chance to visit Santa in person, rather than just watch him pass by in a parade.”

Kuehn’s nonprofit organization will also collect nonperishable canned food to donate to Placer Food Bank.
