Four times this season, the boys basketball teams from Oakmont and Woodcreek high schools went head-to-head on the court. On Saturday night, a few of the high profile players from those battles will be back on the same court, but this time they will be playing on the same team. When the top basketball playes from the northern end of the greater Sacramento area take the court to take on the south all-stars in the Optimist All-Star Game, Oakmont's Tony Gill and Fred Mobley will join forces with Mike Kurtz and Nik Milani of Woodcreek. The quartet was last on a court together when the two Roseville teams met for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II title at Arco Arena. They will seek victory for the north team in the boys game that tips after the conclusion of the girls Optimist All-Star Game. The girls begin at 4 p.m. Saturday and both contests will be played at Center High School. Roseville and Granite Bay area teams will be well represented in the girls game as well with four participants on the north squad. Woodcreek has two players on the team in SFL MVP Jennifer Judge and Cara Jones. Roseville's Katie Simon and Granite Bay's Sarah Sciascia area also part of the north squad.
