The Woodcreek High girls basketball team put together one of its highest point outputs of the year, scoring in double figures in each quarter on the way to a 66-50 win over Colfax Tuesday night. Both teams piled on the points early and reached the break with Woodcreek clinging to a 32-31 lead, but after intermission the Timberwolves gradually pulled away, ending the contest by outscoring the Falcons 17-8 in the fourth period. Cara Jones scored 18 points to lead Woodcreek, while Theresa Barrow tossed in 12 and Jennifer Judge scored 11. Fia Hoskinson and Meggie Schively each added nine points to the Timberwolves’ ledger. Woodcreek will participate in the Del Oro Lady Eagles Invitational this weekend, opening with a 5 p.m. game on Thursday against Bear River.
