A Citrus Heights woman is no longer in custody after she was caught for allegedly stealing more than $6,000 in Raley’s oral hygiene merchandise and then reselling it online. Juliet Ellis, 19, was arrested Oct. 28 on a felony charge of burglary for allegedly taking $6,683.83 from Raley’s and Bel Air stores, including one located on the 13000 block of Lincoln Way in Auburn and two others located in Loomis and Citrus Heights. Ellis was reportedly caught on video multiple times taking items from the grocery stores. Beginning in September, Ellis reportedly started pocketing dental items from the retailer, including Phillips Sonicare and Oral B electric toothbrushes, Crest white strips and replacement electric toothbrush heads, according to Dena Erwin, spokeswoman for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. When Ellis was arrested, deputies found $958.93 worth of products in her car, which they identified as stolen merchandise from the Auburn and Loomis stores, Erwin said. Ellis reportedly sold the stolen dental products to friends or listed them on Craigslist for $30, Erwin said. ~ Jenifer Gee
