What's Happening: Wienermobile, a sweet opening and more
Stieber’s Sweet Shoppe is hosting its grand opening in the Fountains at Roseville. The special ribbon-cutting event today will continue with festivities Saturday.
Representatives from Stieber’s, a local, family-owned business, said the events include live kids music, face painting, candy sampling and drawings to win fun prizes. The company will also be holding a special social-media based event for their 1,000-plus Facebook fans, allowing them sneak peek access to the store before the grand opening to the public.
Stieber’s Sweet Shoppe describes itself as a unique boutique-style specialty candy store experience with more than 200 bulk bins that include signature sweets, gourmet chocolates, international confections, nostalgic treats, gluten and sugar-free candies.

Everyone’s a winner at this lottery
Get an original piece of art during Roseville Arts’ fourth annual Lottery for the Arts fundraiser tonight. The top 10 pieces of art available at the auction were selected by Crocker Art Museum Curator Scott Shields. New auction items this year include a day of art in Los Angeles, San Francisco art packet and private tour of Crocker Art Museum with Shields. Tickets are limited and proceeds benefit Roseville Arts, the nonprofit organization behind the Blue Line Gallery on Vernon Street.

Wienermobile rolls through Roseville
‘Kevin Bacon Bits’ will be driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile through Roseville Saturday and stopping at Walmart. Residents can meet the Hotdogger team and have fun with the famous Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistles. The event will also feature games, contests and prizes.
