Weight loss competition a challenge for Roseville
By: Staff Report
Hegarty Chiropractic and personal wellness coach Ramona Boscow of Roseville have teamed up to challenge, as well as encourage, the local community with a competition to lose weight. Inspired by the popular fitness reality television show “The Biggest Loser” and personal experience helping others, the contest will be the third Roseville community 12-week challenge that offer tips on nutrition and exercise paired with a hint of competition. Participants in the weight loss challenge and class join for $39 for the 12 weeks, $29 of which is paid out in prizes and cash to the winners and $10 of each registration is donated to www.gofit-kids.org, whose mission is to end childhood obesity. Participants will weigh in each week and the three people with highest percentage of pounds lost at the end of the course will win prize money. A total of $406 was paid out for the last challenge. Hegarty Chiropractic has space available for the first 20 people who call to register at 677-9031 for the upcoming challenge starting this month.
