The Eureka Wildcats under-11 girls soccer team swept two opponents last weekend.
The Wildcats beat the Modesto United Elite 2000 5-1 on Saturday in Roseville, as Summer McDaniel scored two goals. Alyssa Tremblay, Jasmyne Dunn and Makayla Clement scored one goal each for the Wildcats.
On Sunday, the Wildcats topped the California Rush Soccer Club Competitive 3-1 in Sacramento. Dunn scored two goals and McDaniel one.
Roseville Starfire 1, Rocklin Cheetahs 1 – Abby Nye scored for the Starfire, and Alex Evans anchored the defense. K.C. Wraa started several breaks in the defensive end.
Keiki Kickers 2, Koolcats 2 – Gracie Harada scored the first goal for the Kickers. She dribbled from midfield, past Koolcats defenders and put a left-footed kick into the corner of the goal. Ashley Rice scored the second goal for the Kickers.
Cougars 5, Grass Sharks 1 – Ricky Mejia led the Cougars with two goals. Phillip Semenov had one goal and helped shut down the Grass Sharks’ offense, and Mitchell Jamison started many breaks.
Earthquakes 4, Knights 4 – Trailing 4-2, the Earthquakes came back and tied the score. Andrew Curtan scored three goals for the Earthquakes, and Camden Ferro scored one. Ash Erskine played well on defense, and Brayden Loomis played aggressively.
