UPDATE: Few details released in stabbing death

The Citrus Heights Police Department continues its investigation into the stabbing death of 18-year-old Wade Isaiah Shingu, of Roseville.

According to Citrus Heights PD, Shingu was stabbed during an altercation at a home in Citrus Heights at about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 10. He was reportedly accompanied by juvenile friends when the altercation occurred at home, near Auburn Boulevard and Old Auburn Boulevard, following the altercation, Shingu’s friends drove him to the location where emergency responders located him.

Police officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 7500 block of Auburn Boulevard, where Shingu was found inside a vehicle, bleeding from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Detectives do not have any outstanding suspects, according to the report. The facts and circumstances surrounding the altercation are part of an active investigation and will be released at a later date, the report concluded.
