The Oakmont High girls volleyball team started slowly and then built from there in a three-game sweep of Monterey Trail Wednesday night on its home court. The Vikings won the opening game 25-21, and then won 25-15 and 25-10 to close out Monterey Trail. “We are looking real good and playing very consistently,” said Oakmont coach Rachael Ramsey. “We need to continue to be solid as we go into league play.” Melissa Luke had 10 digs for the Vikings, and Brittany Carte had 10 kills to lead the way up front. Jen Diver continues to impress, and she delivered six service aces. Oakmont hosts Casa Roble Thursday night.
