Kim Gerould from Greenhills Elementary School in Granite Bay and Stephanie Sugano from Cooley Middle School in Roseville were recently honored as outstanding public school teachers. The Prudential California Realty Education Foundation honored the two educators along with 83 other northern California public school teachers for their outstanding achievements by awarding $51,000 in grants during May. The teachers were celebrated at an annual event held in Sacramento May 14. Each teacher received $600. The grants come directly from the personal donations of agents, owners, managers and staff. The foundation has awarded more than $750,000 in grants to 1,300 elementary, middle and high school teachers since its start in 1992. Five teachers from Placer County received grants this year, including Gerould and Sugano. ~ Sena Christian
