Two-car collision in Roseville brings multiple ambulancesBy: Scott Thomas Anderson, Editor
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Wood Creek Oaks and Pleasant Grove boulevards today, getting three people to local hospitals in the wake of a collision.
According to Roseville police, the accident occurred around 12:08 p.m. when the front of a 2006 Lexus sedan smashed into the side of a 2006 Toyota minivan. Police said the cause of the impact is still being investigated, though initial findings indicate the Lexus was heading southbound on Wood Creek Oaks Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, its 87-year-old female driver veered across the roadway into the northbound lane of Pleasant Grove Boulevard. The Lexus broadsided the Toyota, causing major damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the Lexus sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Police said she is a Roseville resident. The 30-year-old female driver of the Toyota was taken to a hospital with complaints of pain, and her 86-year-old male passenger was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition from injuries sustained during the impact. Both occupants of the Toyota appear to be Roseville residents.
