Torrey Craig Johnson, age 47, of Vineland, N.J. , passed away just after midnight on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in a motorcycle accident in Buena Vista Township, New Jersey. Born and raised in Oakland, Calif., he was a resident of Vineland since 2006. Torrey was an aviation professional, whose 30-year career had included being Crew Chief for one of the Saudi Arabian princes in the early 90’s. He was the current Chief Inspector for Millville Jet Center. Torrey loved many types of music, especially Blues. Torrey was a former member of the U.S. Air Force. He was a fan of the Oakland Raiders, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a former member of the Melrose Baptist Church in Oakland, Calif. Son of the late Evangeline (Olson) Johnson, he is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Susan L. Johnson; son Dale Kimes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; father Ivar Johnson of Roseville, Calif., a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Karen Johnson of Roseville, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Nancy Weaver of Tulsa, Okla.; his father-in-law, Don Weaver of Skiatook, Okla.; two very dear friends, Paul and Cindy Horman of Reston, Virginia, and two nieces, Cheree and Jodi. His family received relatives and friends on Tuesday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 So. Main Road, Vineland, NJ 08360, followed by a memorial service to celebrate his life.
