Timberwolves own final quarter, edge BV

The Woodcreek High School boys basketball team overcame an early fourth quarter deficit Tuesday night to remain unbeaten at 7-0 with a 63-62 win on the road at Bella Vista. Junior guard Ryan Milat took the lead of the Timberwolf offense with 18 points and three assists. Woodcreek owned the opening period, outscoring the Broncos 18-13, but fell behind after being outscored in the second and third quarters before taking the game with a strong final eight minutes. Jordan Franks scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Timberwolves and Nik Milani scored 12 points. Woodcreek will compete in the John Hauselt Invitational tournament at Casa Roble High School in Orangevale this weekend.
