A Tyler Crandell goal midway through the opening half provided the equalizer for the Woodcreek High boys varsity soccer team Friday at Bella Vista, but that was all the scoring the Timberwolves could muster in a 3-1 loss to the talented Broncos. The tally came five minutes after Bella Vista produced the first offense of the contest, as Crandell scored with an assist from Bobby Reeves. The Broncos responded with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes after intermission to put Woodcreek away. Crandell delivered an all-around solid game for the Timberwolves, and Matt Glasgo and Cody Meza also played well in the season-opening loss. Woodcreek hosts Colfax at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in its next contest.
