For the second time in six days the Roseville High boys basketball team stuck it to West Campus Thursday at the Antelope Titan Holiday Hoop Classic. West Campus provided the Tigers with their first win of the year last week at the Hiram Johnson tournament, and this one went to Roseville as well by a 41-34 count. Once again, the Tigers closed well, outscoring West Campus 16-7 in the final eight minutes. “We didn’t play that well,” said Roseville coach Greg Granucci. “It’s nice to see that we can have an off day and still get a win. Our effort was really good, and our defense was also pretty solid. That, and some key free throws down the stretch helped hold them off.” Nick Schwyzer scored 13 points to lead Roseville. Jordan Magnusson added eight, while Tony Costa, Matt Hack and Trey Rosenberg each banged in six. Roseville (3-4) moved on to face the tournament host, Antelope, in the semifinals Friday night.
