Youth baseball season opens Saturday, March 10, for three Little League organizations in Roseville.

That means fundraisers like pancake breakfasts and drawings, team photos, opening ceremonies, activities for kids, plenty of baseball games and nowhere to park.

Maidu, Roseville West and Woodcreek little leagues will start the season today. Lakeside Little League in Granite Bay and Roseville PONY will open the season March 17.

Maidu’s big day begins with pictures and a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony from 11 a.m.-noon and a carnival from noon-5 p.m. And, of course, there will be games running from 1 p.m. to the last starting time at 6.

Roseville West will have vendors throughout its opening day. Tee ball teams will be recognized first, taking the field for introductions at 8:30 a.m. Games begin at 9 a.m. for tee ball, 11 a.m. for farm, 1 p.m. for A ball, 3 p.m. for Double A, 5 p.m. for Triple A and 7:30 p.m. for Major.

Woodcreek’s opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m.
