Tattoo artist arrested on charges of sex acts on customers

A Roseville tattoo artist has pleaded not guilty to charges that he committed sexual acts upon at least two customers at studios where he worked. Zechariah Carr, 38, is being held on $250,000 bail in Placer County Jail after he was arrested Aug. 8 on charges of suspicion of committing sexual acts on customers while working as a tattoo artist, according to a release issued by Placer County Assistant District Attorney Jeff Wilson. Both District Attorney investigators and Roseville Police detectives served an arrest warrant to Carr at his Roseville home. Carr, who has worked at various tattoo studios in Placer and Sacramento counties, was arraigned Wednesday, where he pleaded not guilty to charges against him. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 17 in Dept. 43 at the Bill Santucci Justice Center in Roseville.
