Soon Roseville SureWest customers will have access to the Microsoft Mediaroom Internet Protocol television software, which promises an advanced viewing experience. “These technological advances are very beneficial to our customers because they will allow us to offer a vastly superior TV service at a very low cost,” said Steve Oldham, SureWest’s president and chief executive officer in a news release. The new service will be made available to Surewest customers by the end of 2009 and will enable viewers to record multiple television programs at once, to have on-screen caller ID and media-sharing to link photos and music from a computer to the television. The new service is expected to reach 25,000 SureWest customers by 2010.
