Five different players scored in the final period to lift the Silverado Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team to a 36-28 win at Buljan Tuesday. In a game that was tight throughout, the Bears spread the scoring load late with Jimmy Luna scoring his only three points of the game on a trey in that decisive stanza, while teammates Dylan Stacy, Michael Daw and Drew Vaterlaus each splashed the net in that quarter. Leading scorer Nick Howe scored four of his 19 points in the final period and led the way all night for Silverado at the offensive end. Daw scored seven points in the game for the Bears, while Buljan’s Matt Tawks scored 10 to lead the Bulldogs. Buljan held leads on and off during the contest, and tied the game at the third-quarter horn on a long bank-shot for three by Kody Smith. Smith scored a total of seven points in the game. The Foothill Intermediate School Athletic League boys basketball season concludes with a full slate of games Thursday.
