Multi-platinum recording artist Smash Mouth will perform at the Placer County Fair in the All American Speedway infield on June 21. The San Jose-based band will appeal to both adults and kids, according to fair manager John Javidan, who made the announcement Monday. Adult fans will recall the hit ?I Can?t Get Enough of You, Baby? and ?Walkin? On the Sun,? while kids know the band from the Shrek movie soundtrack featuring ?All Star? and a cover of the Monkees classic ?I?m a Believer.? Collectively, Smash Mouth has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, with their music finding its way into numerous movies and television series. Having established itself as the ultimate true-to-life California party-band, Smash Mouth has been described as a 1960s-influenced garage band with a keen pop sensibility that maintains a timeless quality. According to Javidan, this attitude will be a ?great atmosphere for the Placer County Fair.? ?We are in the business of creating fun for our visitors,? Javidan said, in a statement. ?The outdoor concert will be a huge kick-off for four days of family fun at the fair.? ---------- What: Smash Mouth Concert Where: Placer County Fair, Roseville When: 6 p.m. June 21, 2012 Tickets: $20, includes fair admission, online and at the gate if available Info:
