Several summer sports camps in Roseville area open for registration

Oakmont High School boys basketball

When/Where: June 18-21. Gym opens at 8:30 a.m. each day for supervised free shooting. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily for kids entering grades 3-9.
Costs: $100 for one camper, $175 for two family members, $250 for three family members. Campers receive a T-shirt.
Areas of instruction: Fundamentals, including ball handling, passing, offensive moves, individual defense, rebounding and finishing around the basket will be covered. Games and contests will be held. Campers in grades 7-9 also will receive instruction to prepare for the high school level, including concepts of team play.

Lady Timberwolves girls basketball

When/Where: June 11-15 at Woodcreek High School for students entering grades 1-8. Camp runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for grades 1-5 and 8:30 to 2 p.m. for grades 6-8. A second camp runs from 8:30 to 2 p.m. from June 13-15.
Costs: For the weeklong camp, $50 for grades 1-5 ($65 after June 1) and $100 for grades 6-8 ($125 after June 1). For the three-day camp, $30 ($40 after June 1) for grades 1-5 and $60 ($75 after June 1) for grades 6-8.
Areas of instruction: Shooting, footwork, post play, offensive skills, rebounding, team and individual defense, ball handling, passing, guard play, teamwork and attitude.

Eighth annual Woodcreek boys basketball

When/Where: June 18-22 at Woodcreek for students entering grades 4-9. Gym opens at 8:30 a.m. for supervised open shooting. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the first four days and 9 to 12:30 p.m. on the final day.
Costs: $125 for pre-registration and $150 at the door. Families will receive a $25 discount for each added sibling.
Areas of instruction: Drills, age-group games and contests, daily awards for attitude and hustle, guest speakers, demonstrations and individual evaluation.

Woodcreek boys soccer

When/Where: June 18-21 at Woodcreek football stadium for boys entering grades 2-8. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. June 18.
Costs: $85 per player and $60 per sibling. Each camper will receive a T-shirt, and there will be a barbecue and awards ceremony on the final day.
Areas of instruction: Fundamentals, including ball skills, passing and receiving, individual and group defending and small-sided games. Campers will be grouped according to age and ability. Each camper needs to bring a soccer ball.

Roseville Youth Soccer British camps

When/Where: June 18-22 and July 30-Aug. 3 at Maidu Park. Conducted by Challenger Sports.
Three camps: Mini soccer for boys and girls ages 4-6 (9-10:30 a.m. each day), half day for ages 6-12 (9 a.m.-noon) and goalkeeper training for ages 8-12 (10:30 a.m.-noon).
Areas of instruction: British coaches teaching foot skills, moves, juggling, tactical practices, sportsmanship and daily tournament play.
Costs: $107 for mini soccer and goalkeeper training and $137 for half day. Campers will receive a T-shirt, soccer ball, giant soccer poster and skills performance evaluation. Those who register online at least 45 days before camp will receive a British soccer replica jersey.

When/Where: Volleyball is June 18-21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Basketball is June 25-28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both are for girls and boys entering grades 4-9.
Costs: $80 in advance and $100 at the door. Campers receive a T-shirt and daily snacks.
