On a beautiful night at All American Speedway in Roseville, the regular racing season opened Saturday. All the divisions had big driver participation, which made for great action on the 1/3-mile oval.

In Late Models Matt Scott led for 16 laps, but the big winner was No. 84 Michael Self.

"The racing was awesome," Self said. "This 84 Motorway Motorsports Rockwell Timekeepers Chevy was awesome. Everyone gave us a way good car this weekend. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We started good and ran good the entire race. We stayed clean and made it through the race. That's what's important."

No. 77 Eric Ray showed the fans again what a powerful car he has by winning the Bomber feature race.

"It feels great. It is exactly what I wanted to do and I knew I could do it," Ray said. "The car was great.  We had a few problems in hot laps and we got that worked out. Then my rear end started coming apart the last 10 laps and I didn't know if I was going to make it."

Jason Philpot smoked the field in the Modified feature race.

"I'm really excited. We got some help from Eric Schneider this year from PRS and he's really helping us out," Philpot said. "It was a good night. It's always good to start the season out with a win, especially with the high car count, it's great."

No. 50 Chris Lambert won in the Street Stock division.
