WHS dancers present spring performance

Woodcreek High School Performing Arts Dance Department will present its spring dance show, “Let’s Dance — Divas!” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 9-11, with a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday, 11. All shows are in the main stage theater at the school, 2551 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. in Roseville. Dancers will perform jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap and high-energy, character dances. ESF hosts Fund Run

The Eureka Schools Foundation’s fifth annual Fund Run benefitting the Eureka Union School District begins at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 19, at Granite Bay High School. 1 Grizzly Way. The event includes a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, a kids’ run, pancake breakfast and an expo. The event will be emceed by Brian Hickey from KCRA 3. Live Oak Waldorf School invites the public to come and listen to teachers and alumni speak and answer questions about the Waldorf preschool through eighth grade curriculum. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in meeting room No. 1 at the Martha Riley Library, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville. Two Roseville campuses named ‘Distinguished Schools’

Two schools in the Roseville City School District have been named to the 2013 California Distinguished Schools list: Cooley Middle School and Eich Intermediate School. These schools show a strong commitment and innovative approaches to improving student academic achievement, according to State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson. There are 218 public schools on the list.
