Schools foundation hosts fundraiser
The Roseville City School District Foundation is hosting its “Savor Roseville” fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 in the Center Court at Westfield Galleria, 1151 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville. The event will includes offerings from more than 20 local restaurants, wineries, breweries and dessert companies, and will feature a raffle. Proceeds benefit the foundation, while funds grants to teachers. Tickets are $25 for teachers and $50 for members of the public. To purchase, visit www.rcsdfoundation.org/events.html.
Rocklin district has openings for GATE testing
Rocklin Unified School District has 30 openings for GATE testing for current first graders. Students must not have been tested previously during the current first grade school year. GATE identified students qualify to apply for the Rocklin Unified cluster and self-contained GATE program for the 2013-14 school year. Kindergarten registration open in Eureka district
Kindergarten registration begins Feb. 4 in the Eureka Union School District. If your child will turn 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, you may pick up a registration packet for the 2013-14 school year at any of the K-3 schools: Greenhills School, Maidu School and Oakhills School. If your child turns 5 years old between Oct. 2 and Dec. 2, he/she is eligible for a transitional kindergarten class. For more information, visit www.eurekausd.org/kindergartenreg.
