Crab feed benefits band

Granite Bay High School’s Emerald Brigade Marching Band is hosting its fourth annual Crab Feed, Silent Auction and Raffle fundraiser in March, and needs sponsors and donors.

Funds raised from the event help pay for new instruments, instructor stipends and competition expenses. The Emerald Brigade formed in 1996 and consists of an award-winning marching band with about 120 members, which includes a jazz band, concert band, winter guard and winter percussion. The band competed in the Western Band Association finals in November and finished first in their division, which put them in sixth place overall for the state of California.

The event takes place from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Faith Center Lutheran Church, 6365 Douglas Blvd. in Granite Bay. Mark S. Allen of “Good Day Sacramento” will serve as master of ceremonies. To sponsor the event or donate prizes, contact Keith or Kim Burson at (916) 797-2249 or kklmsburson@surewest.net.
