School bulletin: Cirby kids to walk to school
Cirby kids to walk to school
Cirby Elementary School will participate in its inaugural National Walk to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 3 as part of their goal to be the first school in the Roseville City School District to apply to the HealthierUS School Challenge. This program is a voluntary initiative established in 2004 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to recognize schools that create healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity. First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! campaign incorporates this challenge in encouraging fitness in kids. All Cirby students will walk to school and receive a free breakfast and celebration upon arrival.
