Carnegie Bound students to perform

Carnegie Bound, a group of students who hope to travel to New York in March, will perform a fundraiser concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Sierra Pines Clubhouse in Sun City Roseville, 7050 Del Webb Blvd. The 10 high school juniors and seniors are part of Granite Bay High School’s madrigal choir and were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, but need help covering the $18,000 cost. EUSD hosts public meeting

Eureka Union School District is hosting a public meeting about flexible tier 3 categorical funding. The meeting takes place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 in the board meeting of the district office, 5455 Eureka Road in Granite Bay.

Dry Creek begins budget process

Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District will begin its 2012-13 budget development process with a workshop at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Creekview Ranch Middle School, 8779 Cook Riolo Road in Roseville. To review budget information, visit

Transitional kindergarten class open

Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District started a third transitional kindergarten class Jan. 3 and is accepting students based on availability. The class is for students who will turn 5 years old on or after Dec. 3, 2011 and before March 1, 2012, and who might need extra preparation before entering kindergarten. Class size depends on enrollment but will not exceed 24 students. For more information, visit
