Oakmont High School’s girls basketball team rebounded from back-to-back losses to open Capital Valley Conference play with an 82-33 blowout at Casa Roble on Friday night.

The Vikings (15-5 overall, 1-2 CVC) play at Del Campo at 7 p.m. Tuesday and at Rio Linda on Thursday.

Junior Sydney Sattelberg scored a game-high 21 points against Casa Roble (0-20, 0-3), and Olivia Francis and Ashley Rominger scored 16 each. Rominger was perfect shooting from the floor.

Two nights earlier, Oakmont didn’t have a player in double figures against Bella Vista but had incredible balance, as Sattelberg and Kelsey Caudill scored nine points each, Rominger, Tiyana Dorsey and Emilee Gavia scored eight apiece, and Francis scored seven.
