Run, or walk, through Roseville this Saturday

Back for a second year, the Run Thru Roseville event will take place this Saturday. The event includes a half marathon, 10K, 5K and a “Rover Run” dog walk/run to benefit local charities and organizations. All of the events start on Pleasant Grove Boulevard and loop through Roseville to finish at the Sports Complex. Racers will be chip- timed and water stations are posted at a minimum of every two miles on each course. Medical stations and porta-potties will also available on the course. Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female racer as well as the top racers in each age group and will be presented following the race. The Run Thru Roseville event kicks off Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with the half marathon and at 9:15 a.m. for the 5K Rovers Run/Walk. Registration fees are $55 for the half marathon, $40 for the 10k and $30 for the 5K and the Rover Run/Walk. Teens and children 17 and under will receive a $10 discount. All proceeds will benefit the Boy Scout Venture Crew No. 286, the Placer SPCA, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Running School.
