Roseville's Tremblay receives All-CalPac soccer honor

Sophomore defender Elli Tremblay of Roseville was one of three William Jessup University soccer players named to the All-California Pacific Conference first team.
Tremblay was joined by Jessup teammates Lindsey Cesena, a junior goalie/forward, and Jacque Cassell, a junior midfielder. Katie Rappazzo of Jessup was named Newcomer of the Year.
Rappazzo, sophomore defender Chelsea Aberson and sophomore forward Hekla Goodman of Jessup were named to the second team.
Jessup players on the honorable mention list were Dallas Butterfield, Gabby Leon, Angela Lira and Alyssa Wimmer.

Oakmont graduate earns All-Big 8 recognition
Sierra College sophomore Josh Collison, formerly of Oakmont High School, was named to the All-Big 8 Conference water polo team. A 6-foot-2 utility player, Collison also was a second-team Northern California selection and an honorable-mention All-American.

Hoop Shoot contest
The Roseville Elks Lodge #2248 will hold the first step in the national Hoop Shoot free throw contest at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Kaseberg Elementary School, 1040 Main St., in Roseville.
The competition is open to boys and girls ages 8-13, and there is no cost to enter. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and provide proof of age. Trophies will be awarded to the top three boys and girls in each group, and winners will advance to district competition.
