Roseville's Rainbow Girls serve local community
Rainbow Girls from Roseville DeRiemer Assembly have served the local community for 35 years, and this year is no different.
For Mother's Day, the girls paid their annual visit to Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center hospitals to deliver flower bouquets to new mothers. In April, they volunteered at the city of Roseville's Celebrate the Earth festival.
The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in California recently donated $74,031 to their annual "Grand Service Project," which was the San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation. This year, the girls will support a wildlife sanctuary and education center in Butte County.
Since 1922, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in California has developed the lesson of service in young women 11 to 20 years old.
