Behind goals from Charisa Garbe and Emily Amerman, the Roseville Youth Soccer Club under-14 girls’ Gazelles played to a 2-2 against the Rocklin Comets on Saturday. The Gazelles remained unbeaten on the season, led by a strong defensive effort led by Garbe, Keisha Johnson, and Brooke Lamb. In other youth soccer action from Saturday, the under-10 boys’ Roseville Wranglers bested the Roseville Condors 2-0 with goals from Grant Baer and Jared Aston. The under-8 boys’ Roseville Wolves beat the Roseville Yellow Jackets 3-1 despite solid goalkeeping from the Jackets’ Tommy Knudtson, a goal by Brandon Solano, and strong play from Harrison Garvey. The under-10 girls’ Roseville Starfire got three goals from MacKenzie Kirkpatrick and outstanding play from Taylor Gangwish and Kourtney Milani in a 4-1 win over the Stellars. The Eureka under-12 boys’ Strike Force kept their unbeaten season going with a 1-0 victory over the Rocklin Annihilators. Nick Mastromattei netted the only goal of the match, while Tanner Bassett, J.R. Caprile, and Zach Hubiak did great work on the back line. The Eureka under-8 boys’ Mighty Grizzlies scored a 6-0 win over the Eureka Earthquakes. Midfielder Antonio Rizutto used his outstanding ball control skills to keep his teammates involved, while Ryan Sollazzo scored the hat trick for the Grizzlies. Adam Honer found the net twice, and Anderson Marks scored once, as Kyle Props and Noah Lutz also delivered solid performances from the Grizzlies. In an under-10 boys' game, the Roseville Thrashers outscored the Roseville Swords 6-0. Luke Askew found the back of the net twice for the Thrashers, and Jake Littlejohn,Sean Wilton,Kyle Kamaka,and Braden Triplett each scored one goal. In select soccer play, the Eureka Storm under-13 boys’ team won the Ballistic Fall Harvest Classic championship over the weekend in Pleasanton.
