The Roseville High School boys basketball team played its way into the championship game of the West Campus tournament with a pair of wins on Thursday and Friday. Senior center Kevin Crabb scored 40 points in the two games to lead the Tigers in winning back-to-back close games. Roseville beat Rosemont 51-48 in the first round on Thursday behind Crabb’s 21 points. Roseville coach Greg Granucci felt his team survived a somewhat sloppy effort. “We didn’t rebound very well,” Granucci said. “But we did just enough to win the game.” Trey Rosenberg scored eight points for Roseville. Roseville took care of the tournament hosts on Friday night, beating West Campus 50-46 despite a significant number of turnovers. Crabb scored 19 and senior Mike Moreno 11 in the win, while Dylan Fleming added eight points. The wins moved the Tigers into the championship game against River City on Saturday night.
