Roseville Starfire win midseason tournament title

Led by six goals from Camryn Franks, the Roseville Youth Soccer Club Starfire won the girls under-12 division championship at the seventh annual At the Break Shootout tournament over the weekend. The team knocked off four teams – the Citrus Heights Mighty Vipers, Roseville Thunderstrike, Rocklin Cheetahs and Roseville Swarm on its way to the title. Alex Evans, Kayla Kwong, Marissa Gans and Kourtney Milani also scored for the Starfire, and Gans and Milani also took turns manning the Roseville team’s goal. Evans, Taylor Gangwish and Jessica Leege were the team’s leading defenders. The team includes Lauren Bailey, Marissa Gans, Mackenzie Kirkpatrick, Camryn Franks, Taylor Gangwish, Kayla Kwong, Rebecca Endres, Caitlin Conklin, Kiersten Killmer, Brianna Ferro, Jessica Leege, Alex Evans, Kourtney Milani, K.C. Wraa and Kyleigh Dingfelder. The coach is Troy Ferro, who is assisted by Mike Kirkpatrick and Rich Gangwish and the team manager is Brandy Ferro.
