Roseville native recognized by Air Force

Selected as one of the ‘Capital Airmen’ for 2013

Roseville native Angela Montgomery was recently selected as one of Air Force District of Washington’s “Capital Airmen” for 2013.

These service members and civil servants exemplify the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self and excellence in all they do, according to a press release.

Montgomery graduated from Roseville High School in 1999 and graduated with a degree in criminal justice from California State University, Sacramento. She was the first in her family to graduate high school and attend college.

Growing up, Montgomery knew she wanted to become a Security Forces Officer in the Air Force In 2004, she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.

After being stationed in Wyoming, she was moved to Washington D.C. to be part of a joint spouse assignment. In 2007, she left active duty and took a job with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In 2009, she landed a job with the Department of the Air Force working at Headquarters Security Forces, Air Force District of Washington.
